*FROM OFFICE OF ACADEMIC DEAN*

We are coming to a rush period in the life of our school.  The new schedules will be out
soon, and we need to be meeting with advisors and making plans for next year.  So, it is a important time to remind you to follow the academic procedures set down in the Student Guide.  We have a very small faculty and staff, and the procedures are very clear for such matters as drop/adds, incompletes, transcripts, etc.  These procedures are also clearly reviewed on the Registrar's webpage.  One of the most important of our regulations is that you are responsible for submitting paperwork.  Materials left with a faculty member may not make it to their intended destination.  Either give the material directly to Danielle or give it to Bonnie Wright.  If it can be sent email--and all requests cannot be so forwarded--get a return receipt for your request.  And remember that all requests, including petitions to the Faculty, must go through the Registrar's office so that she is aware of what is happening with your academic record.  Thanks, Dean Miller.

Mid- Program Review (MPR)

MPRs are required for matriculated degree students according to the following schedule:

M.Div - due between 46-60 hours completed M.Div MPR Checklist

MA  - due between 20-35 hours completed MA MPR Checklist

According to our regulations, it is the student's responsibility, working with their advisors, to arrange this crucial meeting.   If you do not complete your mid-program review before you complete the maximum hours, you may not be allowed to register for your remaining hours of course work.  But, even if this ultimate sanction is not applied, students who have taken their reviews late have often discovered that better planning would have prevented scheduling and other difficulties.
