Homework for 4/22

  1. Prepare for the quiz. After next session the quiz will be posted on the web. You can fill it out and submit it through the web.
  2. Identify three articles using FirstSearch, written after 2001, which address an aspect in the text you chose for your synoptic comparison. Write out the bibliographical information and bring it to class. This will form the last piece of your portfolio.

Here are my notes on how to log in to FirstSearch. The password to open the PDF file is: background.

Homework for 4/29

  1. Submit the quiz.
  2. Bring your portfolios to class. They should contain:
    1. Cover page.
    2. Book review.
    3. Structural Analysis of Nehemiah.
    4. Transcription of a Greek passage.
    5. Analysis of a variant in the apparatus of the Nestle Aland.
    6. Synoptic comparison.
    7. Bibliography.
  3. Exercise for Source Criticism: Several letters were copied one after each other. The first and the last sentence of each letter is missing. Mark those places where you suspect that one letter comes to an end and the next one begins. Note your arguments. Click here.
