PORTLAND. This course seeks to provide an understanding of contemporary corporate ethics and spirituality issues using the theology of stewardship, covenant and marginality within the framework of the legal and historical evolution
of the modern corporation.

       Pastoral Theology and Practice (Graduate level)

      PTP1729p     Practicing the Scales of Joy                                                                       Garabedian, Nash & Bujnak, Lynn L

PORTLAND. The poet W.H. Auden once urged his readers to "practice the scales of rejoicing." To that end, this experiential
course will use the urban landscape of downtown Portland, Maine to help students delight in the encounter with the Holy One through the practice of various spiritual disciplines. In addition to exploring practices, the use of music, art, and hospitable work will be explored. Visits with working artists and musicians will be used to enhance the experience.

     PTP1731       Youth Ministry: Practicum                                                                                                    Miller, Glenn T 

A study of adolescent psychology and culture will be conducted concurrent with the student's immersion experience
in a religious camp situation.  The immersion must be at least one week.

                             Scheduled  June 8-10, 2005 & Aug. 15-16, 2005  10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.                                           3 credits

 

Courses being taught by adjunct faculty must register the equivalent of seven full credit students.

Liberal Studies students who wish to take courses that are not cross-listed must have permission of the instructor.
