Welcome! BTS is a spiritually vibrant, intellectually informed, and fully accredited graduate school offering adventures of the mind and spirit in Portland and Bangor, Maine. Our theological education spans religion, spirituality, theology, social justice, biblical studies, world religions, ethics, and gender and sexuality studies. Our Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degree programs prepare people for traditional and non-traditional ministries in church and community. Our M.A. program offers a rich array of possible concentrations and first-class, multidisciplinary learning opportunities. In addition, spiritual seekers and the intellectually curious may take courses on an individual basis. Formats vary from semester-long classes to summer and winter intensives. The Office of Admissions provides various opportunities to learn more through information sessions, open houses, individual conversations, and campus visits.
