President Kent Ulery is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrea L. Jaehnig as the new Director of Admissions. Jaehnig received her Masters of Education from the University of Vermont in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration and her Bachelors of Science from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Jaehnig brings two decades of knowledge and experience in higher education administration to her new role. She most recently worked at Syracuse University in the Division of Student Affairs from 1993-2010, serving as the founding director of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center and previously as the associate director of Residence Life.

The third oldest seminary in the United States, Bangor Theological Seminary is a spiritually vibrant, intellectually informed, fully accredited graduate school offering theological education in northern New England. With campuses located in Portland and Bangor, BTS offers three degree programs—the Masters of Divinity, the Master of Arts, and the Doctor of Ministry degree. While BTS provides vocational training for those interested in traditional and non-traditional ministries, it also offers a rich array of learning opportunities in religion, spirituality, theology, social justice, bible studies, world religions, ethics, and gender and sexuality studies which people can take on a class by class basis.

Regarding her appointment Jaehnig said, "I am grateful and tremendously excited to join Bangor Theological Seminary. I am eager to work with individuals to discern how BTS's first-class academic courses can fulfill their passion for continuing education, nurture their spiritual lives, and/or provide them with practical preparation for a life of ministry."

Individuals interested in learning more about Bangor Theological Seminary are invited to attend an upcoming Information Session on Monday, February 28 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on the Portland Campus located at 159 State Street or on Tuesday, March 1 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on the Bangor Campus at Two College Circle.
