Ways to Give
Many times our alumni/ae and friends tell us of their great affection for the Seminary and its Christian mission. We frequently hear that people would like to give, or give more, but that they do not have the means to do so.

In fact, today’s tax laws and estate planning techniques often make it possible for people to give much more sizable gifts than they ever imagined. With some planning and creativity, you may find it possible not only to give the charitable gift that you would like, but also to take care of your and your family’s needs. For example, you may find it useful:

  • to have income or capital gains tax relief,

  • to secure income throughout your and your spouse’s lifetime,

  • to protect your assets as they are transferred to your heirs or,

  • to find a productive use for real estate or life insurance policies you no longer need.

The information provided below is neither intended to serve as financial or legal advice, nor is it intended to provide an exhaustive list of planning options. We offer ideas and possibilities as you consider your gift to the Seminary. Please, consult your own advisors. Our development staff or the UCC Office of Estate Planning (1-800-846-6822) would welcome exploring any of these giving options with you and your advisors, in confidence and without obligation.
