Building the Endowment:
A Gift from the Present to the Future

Like so many other small seminaries, Bangor Theological Seminary must increasingly rely on income from its endowment to meet its expenses. Tuition income provides less than one third of the operating budget; to significantly raise it would place a truly insupportable burden on our students.

The Seminary always welcomes gifts directed towards our endowed funds. You, as a "cheerful giver" to theological education, may contribute to an existing student aid fund or faculty chair. You may also create a new fund.

Sometimes donors choose to give an outright gift of cash or securities, but often donors wish to give through a bequest or a planned gift.
