I give to Bangor Theological Seminary in Bangor, Maine, ____ (all or a percentage) of my residuary estate for its general and educational purposes.

If you would like to designate your gift, we would appreciate it if you would contact the Seminary’s President or Vice President of Advancement to discuss which scholarship aid, faculty chair, building need or program best matches your interests.

Over the last two centuries, the Seminary has seen a number of changes in its curriculum, degree programs, student body and campus. It is possible that in future decades, changes may occur which make it difficult to honor a gift’s original restrictions and thus make it impossible for the Seminary to use the gift.

Please include the following sentence that allows the Seminary to
re-allocate the funds if the original purpose can no longer be fulfilled:

If Bangor Theological Seminary determines that it is no longer feasible to fulfill the original restrictions of this gift, the Seminary may use my gift and its related income for such related purposes that, in its sole judgment, will most closely fulfill the original intent of the gift.
