CMU343 -Orientation to Leading Worship and Supply Preaching 
Guthrie, Clifton F

Offers preparation for the responsibility of leading worship and preaching in Protestant congregations. Requirements include the preparation of a worship service and sermon which use the liturgical resources of the students' particular
tradition, as well as the rationale for the theme of the worship service and the type of sermon. This course includes classroom exegetical work on lectionary texts and a brief historical survey of the nature of Christian worship. Enrollment is limited to 8.  No auditors please.

Independent Study

1790-1793 Independent Study

Tutorials are available in every area of theological study. To do a directed study, a student and a full-time professor contract with each other for a definite amount of work, including meetings with the instructor, to be accomplished during the coming academic semester. The student is then responsible for fulfilling those requirements. A student may take no more than four independent studies during the course of their degree.
