The Reverend Dr. John Kinney A distinguished systematic theologian, academician and administrator, Dr. Kinney is the Dean of the Virginia Union School of Theology and Professor of Historical Studies. Under his leadership as Dean, the D.Min. program was established, the M.Div. program grew exponentially, and the Continuing Education program was expanded. Dr. Kinney also serves as the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Beaverdam, VA. In June 2006, he was elected as Vice-President of the Association of Theological Schools. He serves as Chair of the Commission on Accrediting for the Association. The Reverend Dr. Nancy S. Taylor Rev. Dr. Nancy S. Taylor is the first woman in the 355-year history of Old South Church, Boston, to be elected as senior minister. Previously from 2001 to 2005, she served as Minister and President of the Massachusetts Conference, United Church of Christ where she was instrumental in the creation of a state law mandating clergy to report suspected child abuse. In 1999, while a pastor in Boise, Idaho, she received the Hewlett-Packard Award for Distinguished Leadership in Human Rights for her work in co-founding the Idaho Voices of Faith for Human Rights and the Idaho Human Rights Education Center. The Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. has been the pastor of Trinity Church, UCC in Chicago since 1972. Under his leadership, Trinity has grown from 87 to 8000 members including Senator Barack Obama. Pastor Wright’s ministry extends far beyond Trinity as the Church gives one tenth of its annual revenues to national and international educational and relief projects. Trinity has also “birthed” four new UCC congregations and ordained 38 seminary graduates. Pastor Wright is the recipient of eight honorary degrees and, in 2003, he was installed by the Ga-Dangme People of Ghana as Chief Afotey Oblum, II.
